Let's get started! Create a new image 400 w x 400 h. Activate the Path Drawing Tool
Create a triangle, size of your choice with a 2 width black border. Click on the edit path
Next, click on the top node and pull the handles in to get a point; when done click on the left and right nodes and move the handles inward as shown in the diagram to your left. Lastly, use the pick point again, touch the bottom line and convert to curve. |
|
Activate the Outline Drawing Tool
Activate the edit path, on the left and right nodes first pull the bottom handles up to the node and then pull the top handles upward as shown in your diagram to the left. Depending on the fullness of your candy corn you may also want to pull the middle nodes downward for a rounder look. |

Make sure your candy corn is selected and activate the magic wand; be sure to click on the plus sign. Touch the top area of your candy corn with the magic wand, then right click, expand/shrink (settings 1 and circle ~ OK). Now go to Edit, Trace Edges, Selection Marquee and accept the default settings. Repeat the above steps for the bottom of your candy corn, I used #FFBF00 for the color, you can pick a color of your choice. You can now delete your outline draw oval. I used the Line & Arrow Tool set for spline and did some do-dad lines. When your done save your ufo one final time or you may want to drag it to your easy palette for other Halloween projects. |
Below are a few samples of what you do with your Candy Corn! Enjoy!
