Steps 01  Steps 02

Create a new image 400 w x 400 h.  Activate the Path Drawing Tool Path Drawing Tool, you can use any shade you wish, I used #82C300.  Create a 2D rounded rectangle 256w x 256h with a black border of 2.  Create a second 2D rounded rectangle 260w x 148h, this is for the hair, I made my black you can select a color of your choice.

Once you are finished, overlap the two rounded rectangles so they align.  Now select the hair rectangle and using the edit path, round the top and pull down the sides to square off as shown in the diagram to your left.  Create a 2D circle 50w using the color #DADADA.  Using the edit path, delete a node on the left to create a crescent highlight pull the handles inward.   Place the crescent shape in the top left area of the hair.   Duplicate this shape and drag to left for later.

Create a third 2D rounded rectangle 19w x 32h, I used #82C300.  Duplicate six times, select all, right click, space evenly vertically and click OK then vertically align, group and place at hair line.  Select you hair, your crescent highlight and the small series of rounded rectangles, group and name "hair" in your layer manager.

Steps 03

Select the face rounded rectangle and using edit path, round the bottom.  Activate the Path Drawing Tool and create a 2D oval 109w x 36h; place at the bottom middle for chin.

Active the Line & Arrow Tool, using the spline create a 1 width line along the bottom of your oval; also create a small black curve above the chin line as shown in the diagram to your left.  When finished, select the face the chin oval and the lines you just created, group and label "face" in your layer manager.

Activate the Path Drawing Tool and create a 2D oval 28w x 89h color #82C300 with a black border of 2 for the ear.  Now using the hair crescent, change the color to #BFFF3C.  Using the Transform Tool rotate freely to place horizontally near the outer portion of your ear oval and unlock the Transform Tool to make it longer and more narrow.  Create a 2D oval 10w x 58 h using #557D00 for the color and place inside the ear.  Lastly, use the Line & Arrow Tool on spline, draw a 1 width black line as shown in the diagram to your left.

Holding the shift key, select all your ear pieces and group.  Duplicate the ear oval and using the arrow key on your keyboard move it to the opposite side.  Select both ears, group, label in the layer manager "ears" and right click, arrange, send to back.

Active the Line & Arrow Tool, using the spline create a 1 width line along the bottom of your oval; also create a small black curve above the chin line as shown in the diagram to your left.  When finished, select the face the chin oval and the lines you just created, group and label "face" in your layer manager.

Create a 2D circle 63w in diameter color #82C300 with a 1 width black border.  Create another 2D circle, this time use color #98E100, no border and size of 54w and place inside your first circle near the top.  Create a 2D circle, this time use color #BFFF3C, no border and size of 32 w.

Go to edit path, delete the bottom node and use the handles to pull the bottom line in and upwards.  Place this crescent shape inside your other circles at the top, group all, label "nose" in your layer manager and place on the face area.

Create a 2D circle 59w in diameter color #8600CA with a 2 width black border.  Create another 2D circle, this time use color #BB2DFF, no border and size of 44w and place inside your first circle near the top.  Duplicate the last circle and change color to #D784FF.

Go to edit path, delete the bottom node and use the handles to pull the bottom line in and upwards.  Place this crescent shape inside your other circles at the top, group all, duplicate and place on the cheek areas of the face.

Activate the Line & Arrow Tool, using the spline, draw a black 1 width line from cheek to cheek.  For the teeth, activate the Path Drawing tool, create a small 2D white rounded rectangle with a black 2 width border, use edit path to fit it into place.  Duplicate and use the Transform Tool ~ "flip horizontally to place the second tooth, use edit path if necessary to fit it into place.

Using the Path Drawing Tool, create a white oval with a 2 width black border 71w x 30h.  Using edit path, on the end two nodes pull both handles inward to give points at each side.

Create a 2D circle 33w, color #527900 with a 1 width black border and place in the center of your oval.  Now create another 2D circle 27w, color #699B00 with no border and place in the center of your previous circle.  Create a black 2D circle 17w and again place in the middle of your previous circle.

Lastly, create a white circle 6w and place toward the top right of your last circle.  You now have the eye, use the Line & Arrow Tool set for line and create some bottom and top little eyelashes.  When done, holding the shift key, select all your eye parts, group, and place on the face.  Duplicate the eye group for second eye and use the arrow key on your keyboard to place it.

Use the Line & Arrow Tool set for line and create some a stitches, then group and duplicate for other side.

Save your ufo one last time and you may want to select all objects, group and drag to your easy palette.
