Open a new image 400 w x 400 h. Activate the Path Drawing Tool
,
create a diamond 96w x 96h.
Using the edit path tool, pull the 2 nodes on the side inward as shown in the diagram to your left. Now curve the top right line and use the side handle to pull inward. Curve the top left line and use the top handle to pull inward and create point.
Right click on your color square and select gradient fill. Click and change the first square to #A50000 and then click on the second color square changing to #B93100. For the "fill type" select the square and click OK.

Activate the transform tool

click on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal.
Set the rotate degree to 10 and continue to click the "copy rotate"
until you have completed a full circle of petals. (Make sure you complete the full circle back to where you started, you will have 2 exact petals of your starting point.)
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key begin with the second layer, select all the petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "01". Right click, select align then "center both".
Label your single petal as "petal". Drag it to the top left or right to be sure not to merge it by accident.
Select the layer you labeled 01, right click and duplicate. Use the transform tool to flip horizontally. In the layer manager, label this layer "02". Right click, select align then "center both".

Right click on your petal and duplicate it naming it 03 in the layer manager.
Use the transform tool to flip horizontally. Uncheck the lock and resize petal to 30w x 93h.
Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #CA0000 and the second color to #D73C00.
Cick on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be changed to 15, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key select all the "03" petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "03". Right click, select align then "center both".

Right click on your petal and duplicate it naming it 04 in the layer manager.
Use the transform tool to flip horizontally. Uncheck the lock and resize petal to 32w x 96h.
Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #BB0000 and the second color to #C63600.
Cick on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be 15, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key select all the "04" petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "04". Right click, select align then "center both".

Use the transform tool horizontally flip and with the lock unchecked resize petal to 22w x 85h.
Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #A50000 and the second color to #B93100.
Cick on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be 20, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key select all the "05" petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "05". Right click, select align then "center both".

Use the transform tool with the lock unchecked and resize petal to 20w x 76h.
Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #BB0000 and the second color to #C63600.
Cick on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be 20, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key select all the "06" petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "06". Right click, select align then "center both".

Use the transform tool flip horizontally and with the lock unchecked resize petal to 17w x 57h.
Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #CA0000 and the second color to #D73C00.
Cick on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be 20, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key select all the "07" petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "07". Right click, select align then "center both".

Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #A50000 and the second color to #B93100.

Activate the path drawing tool, right click on the color square, select "gradient fill". Change the first color to #CA0000 and the second color to #D73C00.

and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be 15, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.

Using the transform tool resize your petal 14w x 39h
Cick on "rotate freely"
and slide the target to the bottom of your petal as you did in step 03. The rotate degree should be 20, then click on the copy rotate until you have completed a full circle of petals.
Go to your layer manager, holding the shift key select all the "10" petals, right click, merge as a single object and label "10". Right click, select align then "center both".
Save your ufo one final time. Enjoy!
