Create a new image 300 w x 300 h. Activate the Path Drawing Tool
,
create a 2D circle 119 diameter using the color #A50010. Right click, duplicate and use the arrow key on your keyboard to move it slightly overlapping your original circle.
Create another 2D circle using the color #A50010 but make this one 96 in diameter. Right click, duplicate and use the arrow key on your keyboard to place them as shown in the diagram to your left.
Right click, Select all Objects, Right Click, Merge as a Single Object. Go to Edit, Trace Edges, accept the default settings of Selection Marquee by clicking OK. Change the horizontal deform mode to 2D Object and add a 2 width black border.
In your layer manager, delete "Obj-1" as you no longer need it. Right click on your object, align by clicking "center both".

Activate the edit path and pull the nodes on each side outward as well as pulling the handles to smooth.
See the diagram on the left as only two nodes need adjusted.
When done right click and duplicate.
Change the color to #E3D4CA. You should have a 2 width black border.
Use the Transform Tool
,
resize to 156w x 132h. Right click on your object, align by clicking "center both".

Using the Line & Arrow Tool set on spline with a 1 for width and dotted for line style, draw a dotted line around the inside parameter of your apple using the color #E3D4CA.
Right click, duplicate, and change the color to black.
Use the Transform Tool to resize to approx. 142w x 121h to place inside the apple core as shown in the diagram to your left.

Using the Line & Arrow Tool set on line with black as your color, create a line through the core of your apple.
When finished, create a few "X" like effects around the core of your apple.

Activate the path draw tool, and create a 13w X 19h black shape using S49 for the seed.
Duplicate three times and use the Transform Tool to position as shown in the diagram to your left.
Using the Line & Arrow Tool set on spline, create highlight lines with the color #E3D4CA for each seed. Do a save of your ufo if you have not done so thus far.

Activate the path draw tool, create a triangle 55w x 52h, color #00690E with a 2 width black border.
Use the Transform Tool to flip vertically and the edit path to change the nodes a bit. I added a node on each side of the bottom node and then deleted the bottom node.
Now for the leaf, create a triangel 82w x 88h, color #00690E with a 2 width black border.
Use the Transform Tool to rotate 90 degrees. With edit path change the lines to curves then pull the handles to shape your leaf.
Once done, duplicate your leaf and use the transform tool to rotate freely into position.
Activate the Line & Arrow Tool, set on spline to make accent veins in your leaf and on your stein. I used both black and #E3D4CA. I also used the Line & Arrow Tool to create a pound sign like accent at the top left and bottom right of the apple using the color #E3D4CA.

Using the Line & Arrow Tool set on spline with black as your color, create a wire from one side of your apple to the other. I left mine rough, you may wish to use edit path for a smoother look or create loops for a curly wire.
Once done create to squiggly black lines at each end of your wire.

For the bow, activate the path drawing tool, create a 37w x 55h using custom shape S49 and the color #A50010 with a 2 width black border.
Use the transform tool to rotate left 90 degrees, duplicate and flip horizontally.
Activate the path drawing tool again, create a 72w x 44h custom shape F146 ribbon tail using the color #A50010 with a 2 width black border.
Duplicate, use the transform tool to flip horizontally.
Activate the path drawing tool again, create a 21w x 30h rounded rectangle using the color #A50010 with a 2 width black border.
Lastly, using the Line & Arrow tool set to spline with the color #E3D4CA, create a couple accent lines.
Save your apple.
