Steps 01

Let's get started!

Create a new image 400 w x 400 h.  Activate the Path Drawing Tool Path Drawing Tool, you can use any shade of orange you would like, I used #C54F20.  Create six 2D circles.  The sizes I made were 79, 69, 60, 53, 48, and 36.  You can make any size circles just reduce in size as you go along.

Once you are finished, overlap each circle as I did in the example to the left then right click and select all to vertically align Vertically Align.  Now that they are aligned, right click, select all and merge as a single.

Go to Edit, Trace Edges, click on Selection Marquee and click OK.  Change the horizontal deform mode to 2D Object and add a black border of 2.

Steps 02

Use the transform tool Transform Tool, rotate right 90° Transform Tool.

OOps!  What's that?  Right click and delete your original circles.  Poof all better!

Carrot top time!  Activate the Path Drawing Tool Path Drawing Tool and create an oval 2D path shape.  I made mine 46 w x 98 h using the color #676A35, but you can use any shade of green you would like.

Right click and duplicate.  Use the Transform Tool Transform Tool, rotate right 30°.  Right click and duplicate, use the transform tool to "flip horizontally".  Place ovals similiar to the first diagram to your right.

Holding the shift key, select all your green ovals, right click and merge as single.  Go to Edit, Trace Edges, click on Selection Marquee and click OK.  Change the horizontal deform mode to 2D Object and add a black border of 2.

Activate the edit path object Transform Tool, delete the bottom nodes; be sure to curve the bottom line so it rounds with the top of your carrot as in the second diagram.

Go to your layer manager and delete the second layer as you no longer need that carrot green!

Right click and duplicate your carrot top.  Use the Transform Tool, rotate right 30°.  Right click and duplicate, use the Transform Tool to "flip horizontally".  Place as in the third diagram to your right.

Use the Transform Tool and click on the "rotate", be sure you have checked rotate freely Rotate Freely, position your mouse at the lower node and move slightly until it is equal with your carrot.  When done, right click on each, arrange and send back.

Now we are ready for final touches.  Activate the Line & Arrow Tool, select the spline and set the line width at 1.   Draw small lines on each side of your carrot as picture in the diagram to the left.

When finished, select the Line/Arrow and create some straight lines on your carrot top as pictured in the diagram to the left.

Once you have the desired fullness to your grapevine wreath, activate the paint brush and paint in object mode little scribblings using 2 for your brush head size.

Lastly, I created oval shapes using the colors #8E9158 and #DD6131 but again you can use a green and orange shade of your choice.  Use the Transform Tool set to rotate freely to place your ovals as pictured in the diagram to the left.

Activate the Paint Brush, using the settings below and painting in object mode, place a few scribble roots at the bottom of your carrot as picture in the diagram to the left.
